I had a rather bizarre dream, last night.
I dreamt that I was serving aboard the NX-01 Enterprise (I was part of the Engineering team), and the ship came in orbit around an uncharted planet. I was chosen to be part of the landing party. When the shuttlecraft landed, and I stepped out, I was suddenly alone. The rest of the landing party had vanished. So I walked forward, and saw that I stood in a dimly lit graveyard, everything in shades of green and blue. Shadows crept about, and I began to take notice of their faces. The first face I recognized was that of a friend I've not seen since graduating high school, just over two years ago. I looked upon her face, but a broken insanity masked her face. There was confusion, and fear, clouding her eyes, a suffering in her eyes that she had long suppressed. But all of the years of silent suffering had now rendered Beth Ann insane. She recognized me, and shifted between laughing and crying. I tried talking with her, but had little success. She had been so scarred by painful emotions and betrayals by those she once considered true friends that her mind was broken.

Unique? Did you meet Stormtroopers that did Ninjutsu? Not exactly. I had a rather fufulling conversation with Widdershins. To put it one way, I was left feeling as I never have before. *Shrug* All in all however, the whole day was strange in itself, that was just the highest point of it all. Reminds me of one time (not long ago) when I was almost to afraid to sleep because I was afraid of being abducted by aliens. I watched this show on TV and everyones story of being abducted was the same. They were asleep, then they woke up and they were paralized. Then this light came to their window (UFO) and there was shadowy figures (aliens) at the end of their bed. Then when they were in the ship there would be this one alien that would just stand there and stare at you. So I was afraid of that happening to me lol. But I did get to sleep that night ;D I think I saw that show actually. Creeped me out also. I had trouble getting to sleep because of it... I kept expecting to see a shadowy figure standing around me staring at me. *Paranoid* I'm not sure how they all dream of the lights from the supposed "UFO", I think they said that it was lights from a car or summat, that people linked with the UFO, but that seems hardly likely. It also seems strange that there were mostly always two of them. I had a rather bizarre dream, last night. XD That sounds rather eerie however... I'm assuming she was a good friend? Or... was it just particularly random in this case?

yes, she was a close friend of mine, back in high school. And, actually, a lot of the ideas I use in my novels come from my dreams. I have made a slight habit of drawing upon dreams to use for storylines in my InterDimensional War saga.

Ah, makes sense then. I was just curious if your dream was drawing up someone you were good friends with, or just knew... a curiousity thing. It makes sense however, your dreams seem like they'd be good for that. You've shown that you can write them out in quite an eloquent way, so I'm not surprised.

Heh, same with me. I jump at shadows waaaaay too much. Sleep paralysis would probably scare me completely out of my wits, and make me morbidly afraid of shadowy figures and the like. It doesn't sound like a very fun experience, especially if you saw the figure moving toward you or something. Reminds me of one time (not long ago) when I was almost to afraid to sleep because I was afraid of being abducted by aliens. I watched this show on TV and everyones story of being abducted was the same. They were asleep, then they woke up and they were paralized. Then when they were in the ship there would be this one alien that would just stand there and stare at you. So I was afraid of that happening to me lol. But I did get to sleep that night ;D I figured out what it really was. The people who claim to have been abducted by aliens, for one reason or another wake up during Rapid-Eye-Movement (REM) sleep. REM sleep is generally the time when people have dreams. Anyways, they are paralized at that stage of sleep to prevent them from "acting out" their dreams. Then, probably do to the fact that they are halfway between reality and dream land, they are terrified, and think they see things which may or may not actually be there. It's also said that these so-called "abductees" don't even recall the experience of being abducted untill they are put under hipnosis or something of the sort.

Yeah... I also saw that on the show, I forgot about it in particular... seems strange to me. It sounds just like sleep paralysis in sorts.

Actually, I think they did say it was some form of sleep paralysis.

Hmmm... might be the same things then.... or at least similar, though the causes may be different, I'm not sure though. They seem like the same thing however. *Shrug*

Most of the time I think they wake up during a dream, so some of what they see and claim to be aliens, may actually just be something from their dream that isn't really there. Then again, it could also be the shadow of, say, moonlight or a streetlight on something in the room. That's happened to me before where I walk into a room at night and see the shadow of something in that room and think someone or something is there.

Well, I believe they all recounted the figures as moving, and there were strange lights (which were probably cars or something, not sure though). So, I'd say it's more along the lines of what Rand said about sleep paralysis, and they're just seeing shadowy figures that are basically projected by your mind while you're in that state, I guess. It could be different however, I'm not sure.

Last night, one of my dreams was about not getting into Sixth Form, which had me panicking. Some form that I filled in had been done incorrectly, I'd been told and so it meant they didn't have a place for me. That's pretty much all I remember.

It was the weirdest thing, a while ago (maybe months) I had a dream that I dropped off some film at WalMart, you know the disposable cameras. This is strange cause if I ever have a disposable camera I never drop them off there. Anyway last night I had a dream that I was in WalMart and when I got home my sister reminded me to pick up the film that I had dropped off there. .... I wasnt even at WalMart to pick up any film. lol , lets just say Im waiting to see these pictures when I finally get them

I've been having a few dreams with my friends from my JROTC (junior reserve officer training corps) friends in them. I'm guessing it is because school is rapidly approaching..

A few nights ago, I had a dream where I was with some friends in a museum in the middle of the night and a dinosaur was chasing us, so we ran outside, shutting these heavy doors behind us to stop the dinosaur from getting to us. We ran out into a square and almost immediately these zombie-like creatures came up to us. I suddenly had two swords, so I stabbed the nearest zombie creature in the neck with the sword in my right hand. The scary thing was, these creatures never died, so we were continually just stabbing them, pressed up against this statue and a wall. Then we slowly came to realise that the zombies couldn't harm us, even though they were trying to attack us. I then woke up. The dinosaurs is understandable, as I watched Jurassic Park and The Lost World at my friend's birthday party the other day but I don't know where the zombies came from ...
