This new artwork isn't as nice at all. It lacks the charm the old artwork styles had. Other than that, I'm guessing it's gonna be good, as long as the same old FE gameplay is kept, and considering this is a remake, I'd say that's certain.

I kind of know what you mean. I'm thinking the characters aren't going to be as HOT as they once were. Well, as hot as their peers are. Raven, for example, can be my 'Hero' any day of the week . Still, I am confident, and I'll repeat here what I said over at TOG: As long as the gameplay is the same type of turn-based strategy that we all KNOW and LOVE, and the music is just as awesome, and the plot just as engaging, and the characters just as lovable, and the changes in artwork style not TOO taxing on the mind, I can totally deal with what you guys seem to think are less awesome battle sprites.

Well, over at Gamekyo, there is finally a slightly odd, yet fairly revealing NEW video (yes, that warrants capitals, considering the only other footage we have seen thus far amounted to no more than 15 seconds in length, and involved a sprite moving along a few squares, then whacking another sprite in the battle animation - nothing unexpected, right?). So, the art style has changed, but it appears that this is still the same style of gameplay that we have grown to love. Noticeable changes? Hmm, there's at least one new magic spell, it seems, and it appears that you can now see units attacking ballistas in a battle animation. I'm sure there are other things I haven't yet noticed. Not long now until the Japan release!

Everything bad I said about the sprites I take back. They look frickin' brilliant in animation. Really looking forward to this a lot more now.

I'm very much looking forward to playing this game. And the game does look good so far.
Now I just need a release date, as I know it's coming stateside.

Well of course it'll be coming stateside, and to Europe too. To not release it in the West, as they have done with the past four FE games would just be a MENTAL move. It'd be like putting a level 2 pegasus knight armed with a javelin, against a level 12 berserker boss wielding a killer axe who's bandit bones are aching for some killings.

Yeah, it probably will. I know Chrono Trigger certainly isn't coming out over here until 2009.
