I voted using IE, and I use them all the time... I find myself constantly groaning over the fact that we don't have one in the house, and that someone is on the computer when I need to go check dictionary.com. You don't have ANY in the house? I have about three in my room alone and my parents have these MAHOOSIVE ones that are actually one dictionary but in two big books because it doesn't fit a single book. Then we have this heavy dictionary/thesaurus and there are probably a few dictionaries down here too ... None. You'd think with these big bookcases full of heavy old books we'd have at least one... but we don't. It's quite the pain. I wish I had like three, one for each room I inhabit regularly. =/

Wow, I actually can't believe that. You should buy one or get one of your parents too. All of mine are fairly recent; less than 10 years old but I think my parents' are probably older than me!

Normally I would have asked them to by now, I just tend to forget every time I'm in a position to ask. *Shrug* Doesn't make a great difference right now during the summer though, so it's not exactly up too high on my list of things to get done.

I use a thesaurus more when I'm writing reviews and stuff to make it more interesting and less repetitive.

Drat, the submit vote button doesn't work in Firefox. Maybe it is my connection (ugh, dial-up)?
If I could vote, I'd choose the first answer. I heart Webby (that is my nickname for the Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary I have in my room).

The 'submit vote' button tends to not work on FF on most forums ... you need to use IE to vote.

I hardly ever have to use either of those.

Erik, do you have a dictionary or thesaurus in your house yet? Reading back on these old posts, I cannot believe that you don't have any. I'm probably the only one in the house that ever uses ours, but then my parents have quite an extensive vocabulary as it is, and well, they don't write like me, so I guess they don't have as much of a need for one as I do.

The submit button worked fine for me and I'm using FF...
When I get bored, I read them, occasionally.

Yeah, we had those problems almost two years ago; Proboards has kind of changed since then.
