I haven't really read anything in a long time.

Yeah, kind of the same. I've got loads of books out of the library, but I'm not actually reading them.

I'm on the fourth book of the WoT series now. I've decided to go back to reading at least a chapter every night, and more if I can make it. My last two nights of almost no sleep, have led me to finish the last third of the third book, and I'm partway into the fourth.
My opinion of the women in the books is slowly improving, but... god! They're still really mean. D:

Ooh, my friend, Frances, is on the fourth one now, too. Do you like Nynaeve anymore yet?

She's getting a little better, but honestly... I guess I'm not big on all the, "Men!" spattered through every book, as though we're all horrid. As I get to know women better, and how they act, I'm starting to realize it's not that they necessarily think we're all loping buffons. You girls are just silly creatures that I need to get to know better, before I can understand why you do some of the things you do. XD At this point, the haughty-ness is what gets to me. I prefer to be on better terms with women, when possible, to avoid that kind of stuff, really. So, it's just me, I guess.

Lmfao, I don't agree with the whole 'all men are pigs, even Lan at times' mandate, but when it comes to characters like Rand (who I hate so so much) and Mat and goddamn Masema, the self-proclaimed Prophet of the Dragon, I fully endorse Nynaeve's haughtyness.

I feel for Perrin. I kind of like Mat a bit, he honestly doesn't get enough credit sometimes, if you ask me... but other times I don't like him so much. Perrin is my favorite character though, I think. Aside from being a burly Blacksmith, he seems a bit like me sometimes.

I like Perrin too. Certainly the most out of the T'averen, or whatever they're called. I feel for him sometimes, too. Faile is one of the few woman I don't really understand. When it comes to the others, like Nynaeve and Elayne and Egwene, I can understand why they feel the way they do about things, and why they get annoyed (except I don't understand Elayne's love for Rand, but eh >__<), but I honestly don't understand Faile every time she gets pissed off at Perrin. She doesn't seem to trust him enough. Maybe it's just because she's a strange girl from a strange land with strange customs, lol.

Actually, I find myself liking Faile the most out of the four of them, honestly. She seems playful, like a child, and sometimes serious. She's mischievous, and if you've met some of the girls I have met, you'll find that they do some odd things on odd occasions. Two come to mind, just last night, I thought I'd said something that'd make the both of them very angry (they're both very good friends, I consider one of them a sister, as they consider each other sisters, we're not family or anything though) so they decided to torture me about it for a couple hours. They acted pissed, and acted the way I'd have expected them to, if what I'd said was what made them all angry, but they didn't mean to actually be rude or anything.
Point is, Faile seems to tease Perrin (as far as I've read) somewhat like a sibling, even if they're slowly showing that it might not be that innocent. And sometimes it seems to me as though she's getting "pissed off" just to try to confuse, and agitate Perrin.

Whereabouts are you in book 4? 'Cos from what I recall, it's pretty obvious straight from the start that there's way more between them than just friendship.

I'm only on like.. page 43. I started it only a couple hours ago, and it was in the car, where reading is almost impossible. (People talk too much. D: )
Perrin and Faile haven't even shown up yet.

Oh, damn, sorry. When you said you were 'partway', I assumed you meant at least a few chapters. I guess if it were any ordinary book, 43 pages would be fairly far in, but considering book 4 of WOT is over 1,000 pages, it's, like, nothing. In that case, I kinda' just spoilt it for you.

Hardly, I know it was coming. Besides, you didn't tell me exact details, and if reading details wasn't enjoyable, we wouldn't have books. We'd just have summaries.

Ah, true. And if it's detail you want, then Robert Jordan's your man ^_^. ;D
