Well, the gas prices here have finally began to fall. A week ago today gas here was 3.35/gallon, today it is 2.55/gallon. So, whatever they are doing to make the prices fall, please continue to do so.

Yeah, they better reduce petrol prices over here as well. We went to a petrol station the other day and it was 99p for ... however much it is.

See, I won't be able to afford to drive much if the prices stay like that

Go electric! Go electric! Yeah!
At Film Club the other week, one of our friends was telling my dad and I about this guy in Silicon Valley who has built this car that runs on batteries or something and can travel 1,000 miles with just one charge (okay, I've probably got all the facts wrong here but it was something impressive like that). It just proves that we are slowly moving in the direction in terms of energy consumption.

Can't you run a car on vegetable oil? I remember reading that somewhere. I think.

Really? That sounds ... amazing. The only problem I can see arising is that it'll take loads of it to run, thus costing a fortune (if veg oil is expensive to buy like that, that is. )

Can't you run a car on vegetable oil? I remember reading that somewhere. I think. You can modify a car engine to use Ethanol, which is a byproduct of corn. The only problem is it takes so much corn to make alot of fuel. I think it takes about 26.1 pounds of corn to make one gallon of fuel. So this would probably be really expensive too. Unless I got something wrong

I believe the prices I saw today averaged at $2.95 or so.
