You just sold the game to me! Apparently, NiGHTS wasn't as good as everyone had hyped it to be. It's gotten some disappointing reviews. Yeah, it's got the slightly odd, going off on a tangent type of humour. My favourite part is where Maya keeps accidentally setting off this girl's camera and making Nick pay for all the rolls of film. That and interrgating the parrot, it's so ridiculous. That's annoying, I really wanted that to be good. I never got to play the original NiGHTS so I wanted to play this one. Apparently Bleach is pretty bad too, something like 3 out of 10 on Gamespot so I don't really want that anymore. I'll find the DS game instead. Also for ToP, it was the first 48MBit game and the first one on the Super Famicom to include voices.

Okay, I'm officially really looking forward to FFXIII. Hopefully, by the time it comes out, I'll have a PS3 so I can play it.

Yes FFXIII does look great and my little brother plans on buying a PS3 at some point (when does FFXIII come out? Please say before September) so I should be able to use it then.
I have to say, the games that have come out so far this year have been pretty good- Zack and Wiki is really taxing and a brilliant puzzle game, FFXII: Revenant Wings looks beautiful and plays so well. Persona 3 is out in a few days, as is Bleach DS, both of which have been praised highly and in a couple more weeks, No More Heroes is coming out. This looks like a brilliant Wii game, especially for gamers who are more than casual (as compared to those who only play Wii Sports).

No release date for any region, yet. I doubt we'll have it before September, honestly. >_>;
I still need Zack and Wiki and FFXII:RW. FFXII is only about £15 on Amazon, so I'm thinking of getting it soon. It does look pretty awesome ...

March onwards is looking brilliant for the gamers who are into the more 'obscure' games (for lack of a better word). Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attourney) 3 and 4 are coming out, No More Heroes will be out, Persona 3 comes out on Friday, Bleach DS as well and then Odin Sphere. I'm in game heaven at the moment, everything I love is coming out and I have the money for it. www.gametrailers.com/player/25185.html?type=movI'm watching this trailer over and over again, the music in it is great and the game itself looks really fun.

I still don't have even the first Ace Attourney game. I keep meaning to get it, but I keep putting it off. It looks like hella fun.
What I'm looking forward to in March is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. We've had to wait more than a freaking year longer than Japan. It never usually takes that long for RPGs to be translated. Even FFIII didn't take that long, I'm sure.

I have to say, with three days to go until No More Heroes, I'm more than a little excited.
Oh and in terms of affording games, my brother just started a new job at play.com, so I'm especially happy. He's just told me to look up a load of games and there are tons of PS2 RPGs going cheaply, along with some DS games and others. I've also just found out about a new DS game called The World Ends With You, developed by the same team that made Kingdom Hearts and claiming to fully use all the features of the DS. I know other games have claimed this but considering it's a claim by Square Enix, it's not one I'm having diffculty believing. Here's a description from Gamespot:
"Previously titled It's a Wonderful World, the 2D action role-playing game follows the antisocial adolescent Neku after he wakes up in Tokyo's Shibuya shopping district with no memory of how he got there. When not piecing together the mystery by exploring the city or fending off what appears to be a demon invasion, players can immerse themselves in Japanese cultural trends, trade the latest Shibuya fashions with other players, or check out the included multiplayer minigame."
Also, I'm damn proud of my Japanese skills because I was able to translate the original name from the romaji, even though I've never seen most of it. Who rules?
Although everyone can tell that I'm not into fashion, Shibuya rules in general and this sounds brilliant. The way Japanese trends develop is hilarious (to understand what I mean, read a book called Japanese School Girl Inferno) but unfortunately, this game won't be out until the latter half of June but that will mean that it's after exams so I'll have plenty of time to play it.

You hadn't heard of It's a Wonderful World? Even I had heard of that. I think in America, it's called The World Ends With You.

You hadn't heard of It's a Wonderful World? Even I had heard of that. I think in America, it's called The World Ends With You. Yup, they've been ranting on about it for months on the DS Fanboy blog. I'm not too sure what I make of it, myself. Well, it might already be a previously released game, but there's currently a sale on Play.com and I managed to get FFXII: RW for £13. Go me. Also, I'm really looking forward to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn which is released on Friday. Yayy. I'm also looking forward to Mario Kart Wii - which is looking hellla pretty - and GTA IV. Yeah, it's strange. I've never really enjoyed the other GTA games, but this one looks really deep. Might get it depending what the reviews say.

That's a little odd; I've seen mention of it on RPGamer com and IGN a few times now. Ignore my second statement, though; I don't remember which name relates to which continent.

It's a Wonderful World i think is the name in Japan only. But yeah, Gamesradar can be a little behind on news but I have to say, they do do some very funny articles, particularly the ones on Final Fantasy couples.
Also, No More Heroes absolutely rocks. It's been so worth the wait but I can't play it much with the amount of work I have to do.

There's a game called Soma Bringer for the DS that was released in Japan very recently. I'm seriously doubting it'll be made available in Europe this year, or even North America, potentially, but it is still technically a 2008 game, and it's looking pretty good at the moment. In terms of gameplay, it's supposed to be the most complex RPG on the DS yet, because of the multitude of choices you can make when selecting and equipping and levelling (and so on) your characters. Here's IGN's impression of it so far.

Hey, guess what I just found on GamesRadar?
Goddamn, they're slow but they are amusing.
Also, according to Play, it's out in April, which is good. Also, Phoenix Wright:Trials and Tribulations may be out this Friday but I can only find that release date on Wikipedia at the moment.

Yeah, The World Ends With You is a game I'm looking forward to. Besides that, I'm anxiously awaiting Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the Wii, as well as the Wii version of Okami.
