Which games are you most looking forward to?
For me, it's Super Smash Bros. Brawl. There are loads of other games that look awesome on the way, but this is the one I look forward to most.
The game looks epic, with so much added, from so many different franchises. Certainly looks to be the best smash yet. ;D

Final Fantasy IV for the DS ^_^. Holy crap, yes. That game looks freaking ace. Did you realise it has voice acting, too? ;D

Yep. Do you know if it's staying in the Japanese format, or if they're gonna do silly American voices for the non-Japanese version of the game?

They may give the option of choosing which voices you want, though, but still, I'm not sure. Afterall, there's only so much you can fit on a DS cart.

>__< Considering the space limitation, then, surely it would just make more sense to keep the Japanese voices? I hate dubs so much. American voices in video games are like the gheyest thing ever.

Well, if they do dub and only have the dub for the US and EU version, then they'll just remove the Japanese voice overs completely, to save space. Well, that's if they're not American. Mass Effect, for example, has the best voice acting I've heard in a game. It's almost like a movie, most of the time, it's that good. But that is and American game. No doubt if it was Japanese originally and dubbed, it wouldn't be so good.

Well, if they do a dub, then they better get good voice-actors, then. Too often the voices in games just sound horrifically, excruciatingly cheesy.

Whaaaaa? They always hire the same people, and they're always sub-standard. I wouldn't dislike them so much, if they weren't the same people, over, and over, and over, and over. I'm also waiting for SSB: Brawl!

Whaaaaa? According to Richard ;D. I wouldn't really know. The only game I have with any form of voice in it is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, lol, and that's pretty much just comprised of screams and giggles and random Japanese exclamations xD.

Well, that's way better than the butchering of long talking scenes that a lot of games like to do.

This year I'm looking forward to Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes and the next 2 Ace Attourney games. I'm sure there's plenty more I'm looking forward to but these should all be out in Q1 so happy spending times.
There are good American dubs in video games, most of Tales of Symphonia was good, I'd say Tales of Phantasia is good as well but there's very few times where they actually talk. Baten Kaitos has to be the worst I've come across, one of the guys sounds like a robot, even in the most emotional times. Thing is that they originally had a very good guy doing his voice (person who played the gay guy in Outlaw Star for anyone who remembers that) but I have no idea why they changed it.
Also, Kingdom Hearts. Best voice acting cast ever I think, when you get the original Alice from Alice in Wonderland, it's gotta be good. Still some problems with voices in it though, like the original Jack Skellington suddenly not being able to do the voice properly. And Sora's voice can grate a little in the first game because the puberty fairy hadn't visited.
And now I'm rambling.

Hell yes. Zack and Wiki and No More Heroes look ace. Really can't wait for those. I haven't played any of the Ace Attorney games, though. I've always wanted to, but never got around to buying them, really. ToP has a dub? I didn't think voice acting would work very well on a GBA. Or a SNES for that matter.

ToP has dub of course. It was the first 64 bit (I think, someone please correct me if I'm wrong) game to have voices in it. You only get talking in fight scenes but the little voices are quite cute.
If you like Monkey Island, you like Ace Attourney. It's the same sort of humour.
Can't believe I forgot this - NiGHTS. And the Bleach game seems to come out in February so I might buy that.
And I forgot something else - Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.
And yet another one - Odin Sphere. It is just me of for a console that supposed to be completely outdated, are there too many games coming out?

You just sold the game to me! Apparently, NiGHTS wasn't as good as everyone had hyped it to be. It's gotten some disappointing reviews.
