Brilliance! If you didn't know, it's the spinoff series to Doctor Who. I'm not too sure of how it fits in with Doctor Who, as I missed quite a few episodes, but this is great. I just finished watching the first two episodes and there's a clear difference between Dr. Who and Torchwood. Mainly how much more adult it is. There's loads more swearing, which makes it more realistic and the violence is quite raw. In the first episode, a Weavel bit into the neck of a man and there was tonnes of blood. I actually enjoyed this a lot more than Doctor Who. Can't wait for the next episode which is next Sunday.

Yeah, I read that this was supposed to be much more adult, hence why it airs after the 9pm watershed. Well, I really hope this comes to DVD. I LUFF Captain Jack.

If you're anything like lycoris, you'll probably despise the thing. I was reading her blog and she ranted on how she didn't like it. It's all down to opinion, though.

I saw it! Yaay! I saw the first two episodes whilst at Frances's, because they were on a repeat on BBC2 on wednesday night. Eeeeee, Captain Jack! (Aheh, Frances and I did that the whole evening, pretty much.) Meh, the lesbian scene wasn't as good as you suggested, UM. I was disappointed, to say the least. But eeeee! it had Captain Jack! And they don't realise he's bisexual. Ha ha.

Now when did I ever say that? Besides, i guess it just depends on whether you're feeling horny or not. I just thought that the cutting in that scene screwed the effect up. All's fine and stuff while they were kissing, then one of them shoved the other away. I think the camera work was supposed to give it a sense of franticness but there was a close up shot of their hands and it probably would have been better to use a medium shot. I guess that explains my dissatisfaction; the scene was ruined by strange camera work.

I love Torchwood yes yes yes.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for lesbians gays and bi but I think they proved their point too early with that scene. Yes it's more adult, woo, but.. sheesh.. Within the second episode it just.. revolved around sex. I enjoyed the third ep much more. Had more to it.

Not that you come here anymore, but I know what you mean. RTD has been trying too hard to show how more adult Torchwood is, and sometimes it just seems too contrived. But still, I do enjoy the show. Well, apart from episode nine. The loser geeky guy in that pissed me off way too much. And I'm pretty excited about series two now, as well, since I've seen the trailer. James Marsters guest-stars in the first episode, and Martha is now a fully-qualified doctor, a year having passed since she left the Doctor, so when she appears for the last three episodes, she's a more developed character. Sounds fun ^^.

Lmfao! I personally felt that the lesbian stuff in Greeks Bearing Gifts was better than that in the second episode. That was one of my favourite episodes of the season. Torchwood is a spin-off TV show of the UK classic Doctor Who.

Well, I'm not sure if Torchwood is even aired here. Doctor Who is from time to time, but it's always on too late for me to ever see. *Shrug*

It is. They started airing it maybe a month or two back ... from what I've heard, it's very popular in America, or at least on the channel it is aired on.

Okay, I know nobody is going to reply to this, but I feel like posting around the forum. I've watched the first two episodes of the new season, and currently am waiting for my computer to stop being silly, so I can load up the third episode. I saw the first minute or so of it, just before the credit sequence starts, and it looks intriguing already as it is. I'm glad Ianto's developed a little, but really, I can't wait for the Martha episodes. Those'll be fun, I should imagine. It'll be nice to see another familiar face.

I watched a bit of this season and I'm still laughing at it.
Although there was one bit that I thought was pretty sad and I know that the first Martha episode airs this week.
