If you play video games, you're bound to find at least one game has some catchy tunes which stick in your head.
For me, I think my favourite music in games comes from Final Fantasy games ... But then there's all of the classic Nintendo tunes from all of the ... well ... Nintendo games. They're fun, too.

Tales of Symphonia music is one of my big ones. I love the battle themes, they're very catchy. Some of the most famous video game music would have to be the Kingdom Hearts openings by Utada Hikaru and it's pretty much the only music of hers that I like. Baten Kaitos has some very cool music too.

Amazing stuff. ^__^ Brilliant trip to Cambridge on one of the days off school, me and David (oldest bro) walk past this guy playing music in the street and say to each other "Doesn't that sound like the Monkey Island music?" I love those games and the music is awesome. The style, the liveliness, it's just makes you want to say "Isn't that a three-headed monkey?"

Tales of Symphonia has a brilliant soundtrack. Does anyone know if that's actually available, a soundtrack for that game? That'd be awesome. I've always liked the music from Super Mario 64, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I've got the soundtrack for the latter, but, sadly, it lacks the actual dungeon music. (Another note on OoT that bugs me: The original Collector's Edition version of the game features different music in the Fire Temple than all the re-releases of the game. The original music features chanting that, I think, is a Buddhist chant). There is also the fact that the original, N64 CE version of OoT features a different visual symbol throughout the dungeons. The original symbol is a crescent moon and a star to the upper-right. It's obvious what that was confused for, though (an Islamic symbol). I've also got to mention the Golden Sun games. Easily the best music of any portable game!

Heh, I thought this'd be the right thread to mention this; I just downloaded from the iTunes store the second album from The Black Mages, the band that does the rock and metal covers of the Final Fantasy music.
Awesome stuff. I used to have a few of their songs a while back, but I much prefer to have whole albums

While I'm on the subject, I've been playing Elite Beat Agents and some of the covers are pretty good. Jumpin' Jack Flash is such a pain though, I need to get past it AGAIN! I spent a long time this week trying to on a different setting and now I have to do it again.

I'll tell you what I do love; some of the music in GoldenSun: The Lost Age, is awesome. The music for Magma Rock is especially so, and I think it was Jupiter Lighthouse where I was also enjoying the track. I haven't finished the game yet, so I'll be looking out for other pieces. There was also a track on Fire Emblem 7 that I always absolutely loved to an insane level. Actually, there were quite a few on that game. I would be able to find them again in the music selection part, if my damn copy of the game wasn't broken .

Ah yes, TLA does have very good music. I love the music for SSBB, Sakuraba has done some brilliant remixes. Rogue Galaxy I feel is worthy of noting for its ending song. It's so gentle and soothing that I almost fell asleep the first time I heard it. The Ace Attorney games have brilliantly dramatic music but I feel Apollo Justice has the best music within the series. It contains a load of the originals and then some absolutely brilliant remixes and new stuff. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=U6_zQ2A7jyMuk.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lnws61NLSIActually, I did fall asleep to the song from Rogue Galaxy last night. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CIPMAPVXd9A
