So, does anyone have a few favourite actors or directors, or film-maker in general whose works they are particularly fond of and whom they follow? There's a lot out there to choose from.

Satoshi Kon and Miyazaki (Studio Ghibi in generally) I tend to follow. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of them right now.

Joss Whedon is definitely THERE for me. I love all of his main projects - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Serenity - I am bound to love his upcoming project, Dollhouse, his online musical, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was awesome, he wrote the screenplay for Toy Story which is a legendary film, and he also wrote Alien: Resurrection, which - although not on the same level of classiness as the first two Alien films - was definitely better than the third one. So yes . I happily follow his works.

Ah yes, how could I forget?
I didn't know he wrote the screenplay for Toy Story.

Well, I guess you could say I'm a fan of the team that worked on Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Edgar Wright per-se, since they're the only two films he's worked on that I've seen. As for actors, I like Simon Pegg. Miyazaki's films are good too, but hell, I've not seen many so I can't really consider myself a fan, as such.

All I can say is don't watch Tales from Earthsea, his son has not got any talent at all.
