You know, with all the rides 'n' stuffs. What are your views on them? We went to Alton Towers today with school for Business Studies. We had a couple of seminars that lasted about an hour and a half, but all the other five hours, we just spent time doing what we wanted. Anyhoo, I went on all of the big rides and Brett (Sanzo), Eddie and Oliver chickened out on most of them. I really loved Oblivion. It's a verticle drop from really high, and what's worse is that it stops you just before the drop so you can look down and see it. I really enjoyed Air, Nemesis and Rita, too. Air was just a coaster that gave you the feeling of flying. Heh, funny story with that. Right at the end, before you get off, it broke down for us and we were hanging there for about 20 minutes. During this time, there were a lot of jokes made. Hm, lemme think of what I said. Oh! I shouted at the workers, "Right! That's it! Probability of children is now 0%! I hope you're happy!" I was actually proud about that one - made people laugh. You may not find it funny, but the harness really made that ... area ... uncomfortable. Rita, well, that went at 100Km/h from launch and it was amazing. So fast. Went on it a couple of times. Anyhoo, as much as I enjoy Alton Towers, I find most theme parks annoying since the choice of rides are poor. Alton Towers is an exception. Brilliant place. Going again at the end of the month for a rewards trip, too. Annyways, enough of my ramblings. What are your views?

I don't like heights and I don't like speed. Fairground rides is enough for me and I don't even go on those. Besides, ever since having watched Final Destination 3, I feel even less inclined to go on any sort of theme park ride. And I don't go to theme parks anyway ...

I take it the ride de-rails and everyone dies or something? I'm always cautious of that kinda thing, but it barely ever happens, so I overlook it. Lol, i don't like heights either, but if i'm strapped in safely, I'm fine. Same with speed. Hehe, I have a sore throat and I just remembered why. I was screaming (manly styly o' course! ) at this huge duck that came out of the dark on the log flume. Then on the tea cups and all of the other little, kiddie rides. XP

Heh Heh, Awsome day out. And the only rides i didn't go on was The Nemesis and The Oblivion. But i was going to go on The Nemesis before i felt sick and before we got trapped on that sodding Air, Lmao. Really funny though, when we got off, the park was practically deserted, lol. Anyway, i Love them, I feel safe inside the park, and, though i hate them, the coasters are really fun. OMFG ( sorry but back to thats day) Submission....Gayest ride ever, For guys anyway. You sit in this seat...and you wait...and wait, then the harness thing come down automatically, not stopping when it touches you, and practically crushes your....Meat and two Veg, Then after that, another bar come down thats in front of you, and pushes down harder, Right in the exact place were your fire hose is sitting. Grr it hurts.....Ahwell....Its fun, and you forget about it after a while

Heh heh, Submission was kinda painful, wasn't it? Great feeling though. I loved the sensation of hanging upside down and stuffs. Good job we weren't on long though. Would've been worse than being stuck on Air.

I tend to look at it as; I don't often get to go to a theme park, so I'm going on everything that looks awesome, despite the thoughts of it de-railing or something. Besides, if I die on it, at least I'll have died having fun.

I did, indeed. Was alright, I suppose, but Rita was closed. Went on all of the other big rides, though.

Not sure. It might've just been going through maintenence or something. Heh, lots of the rides kept breaking down yesterday and stopping half way up the pully bit. On about every ride Zack, Jamie and I went on, this happened. And it did last time we went, on that business trip, except Zack wasn't with us, then, so he said Jamie and I are cursed and were responsable for making the rides break down.

I'd be absolutely terrified if I went on a ride that broke down halfway through. Surely they should all be shut down for maintenance if they're doing that?!

They only seem to break down going up the pully bit. Stopping them when they're going round bends, hills and stuff would be very dangerous. They only stopped, anyway. I don't think they broke down. One time, someone was going mad on the ride as it was going up to get off and so, the ride had to be stopped and the staff had to go up this really high set of stairs and evacuate the passeneger. That would be really scary getting off there, though. Probably even more dangerous than the ride, itself.

What, going mad as in 'scared shitless'? Why the hell did he go on it, then? Egaaah! I'd HATE to go up such a high staircase. I'm amazed I went up the Eiffel Tower. The only reason I did was because my family made me, but I guess it's safer than some uber tall staricase that you use to reach a frickin' cart on a ride.

That's right, "scared shizless". I was saying the same thing to Zack. Why the hell go on such a ride if you're that scared?
