Well, it's gone midday, so I figure I can post about this here (I wasn't awake until after midday anyway). So, anyone seen any funny April Fools Day jokes today? IGN had a 'world exclusive' trailer for the Zelda movie. I'm just amazed by the amount of hard work they put into it, really. Mind you, Ganondorf looks like even more of a poof than normal. Google are offering anyone over the age of eighteen the chance of a lifetime: would you like to become one of the first settlers of the planet Mars? ... within the next twenty years. See here for more details. Mugglenet have also posted a few 'news stories': - Kreacher wins US Presidential Election
- JK Rowling reveals that Harry and Hermione eventually married, after abandoning their respective spouses. In addition to this, all of Hermione's children were fathered by Harry.
- JK Rowling hands over completed version of the Harry Potter Encyclopedia to Mugglenet (if you've been following her legal battles recently, you'll understand how crazy this is)

Ganondorf was cool until that video was made. Honestly, the beginning was really good and it looked pretty ace, then as it progressed, it looked cheese-filled and budgety. Still, for IGN to do that for April Fools it's pretty good.

Two more from Google:
gDay: Search the Internet 24 hours into the future.
GMail Current Time: Send yourself e-mails in the past. Only back as far as April 1st, 2004, though.

Y'know, the Zelda movie actually looked kind of decent, if they actually made it.
I have two issues though:
Link looks like Michael Jackson,
and Ganondorf didn't have a full beard in OoT.
Besides, it's nearly impossible to make a faithful recreation of Ganondorf. His facial structure is too messed up.

Yeah, Link did look like an idiot. And I hate that he doesn't say anything.

My father pulled a really un-funny April fools on me...
I woke up to a text message telling me that my car couldnt be taxed because I'd owned it for six months without registering it in my own name, and I had to travel to Brighton or face paying a fine.
Baring in mind, this was as soon as I woke up... I barely knew where I was let alone what the date was. and also baring in mind that I really haven't got money to waste what with my insurance being £140 a month because I'm still a learner driver.
I sat in bed worrying for twenty minutes about what the hell I was going to do about the problem... and went downstairs to ask my mum what she thought I should do...
She just pointer her mobile phone at me and said, look at the date... and with a slowly descending brow I said 'oh' and she said 'Yeah... I didn't think it was funny either.'
His boss did something similar to his step-son too. The step son has recently written off his car, and is really upset about it. His dad and mine decided it would be hilarious to tell him that, as the tax had run out on the wreck, the post office had told them that he would have to pay the difference in tax of the price of the car compared to the price of his insurance per year... which worked out at about £1100.
Needless to say when he realised that this was an april fools joke, he wasn't best please either. "Fuming mad apparently" was my mother's words.
All in all, my dad and his boss are *ssholes.

Let's face it, the best April Fools' jokes are the ones that raise your hopes, not stress you out, even if you are disappointed in the end, when you realise it was all a hoax.

I know it's a very late post to this, but no one mentioned the "Updates" listed on GuildWiki for Guild Wars... wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Game_updates/20080401Some of the funniest ones were near the bottom...the early updates looked believable, but these...well...didn't: And the earliest thing to make it abundantly obvious

I'm still wondering if Uwe Boll's video is a late April Fool's joke.

Well, the petition to get him to stop directing films can't be. Nobody would be cruel enough to raise so many hopes as that.
