Because of all the potential strikes in Hollywood next year, Heroes Origins has been postponed:
Fears of a writers strike may have already contributed to a decision NBC made Wednesday to pull the highly anticipated spin-off miniseries of its hit "Heroes" from a mid season launch.
NBC declined comment, but "Heroes: Origins" is not going to get its six-episode run, which was expected to start as early as late April. While the network hasn't officially cancelled the spin-off, producers of the series have been given no indication of when it might get a spot on the schedule.
Sources indicated "Origins" may be just the first of many projects lined up at the broadcast networks in 2008 that will get downgraded as a result of the potential strike, which could severely affect the TV industry. Budget allocations made months ago for a range of scripted programs, many of which will not be feasible without sidelined writers, will likely be reconsidered and potentially shifted to strike-proof material like reality and news programs.

Oh, well. Origins wasn't really going to have anything to do with the main story, so I'm not too bothered by this. Each episode would've introduced a new character, and each episode would've been a stand-alone episode.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to be the first person with a bit of news, for once xD. Anyway, here's a video where Kristen Dos Santos, from EOnline, reveals some major spoilers as to what is to occur over the next few episodes. If you don't want spoilers, don't watch.

Moi. Finished it just a minute ago. I love Westy. I feel so sorry for him. But Claire was right to stand up to HRG; I love Noah, but he is acting a bit silly now. I'm not sure how I feel about the potential occurrence of Mohinder shooting him, though. Niki so better not die, or I will kick her ass out a window. Hiro used to annoy me with his continually chirpy attitude, but as soon as he returned to Ando, I was so pleased to see him spazz out again; all the serious stuff with him, Yaeko and Kensei (or should I call him Adam now?) was getting tiresome. And I was right about Adam Monroe; it was pretty obvious it would be Kensei. Yay, more shirtless Peter, and yay for him being reunited with Angela. That was a nice emotional touch. I do like that woman, even if she is 'morally grey' as Mohinder might say. I felt sorry for Peter when Caitlin was dragged off, though. I don't like her that much, but at the moment, she's the only person he knows at all well, and can trust (well, he's got his mother, but we at least know that she's not totally trustworthy), and then of course, he shoots himself back to the present, which is so unhelpful. Also, I love how Claire's mother is totally in love with West, lol, and how Lyle came downstairs and immediately was just like "what did Claire do this time?". That family is so dysfunctional at times, lol. But, ahhhh, poor Westy. Please come back. Claire needs you even more now, although I know it's going to be very hard for you to trust her now, seeing as there's no way you could tell if she was trapping you or not. Argh, goddamn it!
I so cannot wait for next week's episode. We get to see how D.L. died (I really shouldn't sound so cheerful about that), which apparently isn't how we would expect it to happen; and we get to see what happened to Peter and Nathan after Pete exploded, which - in Pete's case - involves Elle (yaaaaay).

That family is so dysfunctional at times, lol. I thought the exact same thing when he came down, even though it was such a serious moment, I was laughing a heck of a lot. Next episode should be great though, it's another one of those weeks where I can't wait very long for the next episode to come along.

You know what, GS, if you can say yay for shirtless Peter, then I have the right to say yay for shirtless Caitlin in this episode. It's only fair.
Now, my synopsis, straight from my blog.
Noah is awesome, that's how I'll preface this entry. He's gotta be my favorite character.
Okay, I've been saying since the start of the season that Kensei is going to turn out to still be alive in the current time of the show. First evidence was when we discovered that he had the ability to regenerate. The dialogue on this episode pointed directly to Kensei not just being alive in the current time, but also that he was "Adam Monroe". The most significant lines were what he said to Hiro at the end of their fight. When Kensei declares that he will forever oppose the things that Hiro believes in, that he will burn everything that Hiro loves, that was blatant proof that Kensei is Adam Monroe, in the current time frame. Kensei is the one killing off the originals, and the fact that the killer started with Hiro's dad was even more proof of his true identity.
So, the big reveal there at the end came as no big surprise. Doesn't mean it wasn't an awesome reveal, though.
Just a side note before I start with the next: Do you remember, back when Matt first confronted his dad a couple episodes back, and Matt was trapped inside the vision? He was in a prison, and the prison warden was speaking in seeming nonsense. Turns out the voice track was played backwards, and that was a reference to the fact that Matt is dyslexic.
Okay, on to Matt. I loved the confrontation between him and his dad, Maury. (Oh, and remember when Bob told Nathan that Maury is not the real villain, but just being used as a tool by the real villain? That's another clue that should lead you to Kensei. Remember on the first episode of the season, when Hiro first arrived in the past, and rescued who he thought was Kensei, but only turned out to be someone else? Kensei likes to use decoys, he likes to use others to do the dirty work for him.) I'm glad that Matt is gaining mastery of his ability, and I'm also glad he was able to rescue Molly. Although, when Molly was hugging Matt, I kept expecting Molly to say, "If the boogeyman is really defeated, then why is he standing right behind you, ready to attack?"
Peter's time in the future was a reference back to early in season one, when Hiro went to the day of the explosion in NYC. We got a glimpse of the devastation wrought by the virus. My theory is correct: the virus is this season's "bomb".
Oh, the first thought I had when Bob told Mohinder about Claire's regeneration ability, and his plans to use that as a cure against the virus: Sylar's likely infected with some strain of the virus. The virus was probably given to him by The Company. If Sylar is given the cure derived from Claire's ability, part of me can't help but think Sylar will somehow finally gain Claire's ability. GAAAAAAAUUUUGGHHH!
You know, I just wish Peter had thought of his phasing ability (though I still can't figure out how he got that ability. As far as I can remember, Peter was never close enough to D.L. to gain that ability) when he found Caitlin. I hate that Peter returned to the present without her. First he lost Caitlin's brother, and now Caitlin. AUUUUGGGHHHH!
You know, Noah and West didn't actually meet face-to-face, as I had been thinking they would, in this episode. But they did find out about each other. West learned that Noah is Claire's dad, and Noah learned that West is Claire's boyfriend. Finally, there's some meaning to that story, besides it just being full of damned teen angst.
Okay, back to Peter for a moment. I hate how similar his current situation has been compared to season one. He was once again just learning about his powers. Didn't we do that already?
Overall, this was an absolutely fantastic, awesomerific, totally spectacular episode, and it reminded me of why I'm a fan of the show in the first place.
Only downside is that it looks like the December 3rd episode, Powerless, is going to be the season finale. This is due to the Writer's Guild of America strike. (And, in case you're wondering, I'm on the side of the writers, here) They've already filmed an alternate ending to the episode that will allow this episode to work as a season finale.
This next isn't a spoiler, but just something that caught my attention: Did you notice that the effect of the eclipse on the title was green this time? Usually, it's that orangish-yellow color.
Oh, and bonus stuff just for this post!
What role does Adam play, exactly, in the current time? Is he just a guy out to kill the originals? No, part of me wants to say that Adam is in charge of The Company.
Mohinder's gonna kill (or at least try to kill) Noah. That seems obvious. Looks like that confrontation might come next episode (well, episode after next), because the painting showed Mohinder with a broken nose.

Just a quick post before school: yes I noticed the opening was green but I can't understand why it was. I thought my comp was being funny at first.
Also, in the final fight with Sylar, most of the heroes were there, including DL so that's when he picked it up.
Also, the part about the West and Noah story was never about teenage angst for me; I was waiting for them to meet really because I love the moments when characters realise who each other are and what their reactions are.
I did realise that track was playing backwards, I watched several things where they decide to play track backwards to mess up the voices (most notably the whole episode of Red Dwarf) and thought it might be to do with that.

I don't see the West/Clarire/HRG storyline as teenage angst either. It's just Claire struggling to meet her father's somewhat ridiculous [but understandable to an extent] demands.
I was really expecting that as well. The way that scene was shot, with the camera angles and blocking and keeping most of Matt's background hidden and so on, it really looked like Maury was just going to rise up again unexpectedly and grab Matt or something.
I also noticed the green eclipse background. I was like "eh?! this is new!" out loud as I watched it, lol.
Do you find Caitlin hot, though? That is the question. If so, then of course you are perfectly entitled to say 'yay' (not that we saw anything). But the reason I'm so happy is because Milo Ventimiglia is very cute, not just because.

Well, my saying that was just because it was finally a chance to comment that a female character was topless. Of course, that was not at all a romantic scene (and I hate[/b] that Caitlin was left in the future!!!!)
Does anyone here think Caitlin is gone for good? Think about it. She's left in a future time line that, hopefully, will be changed so that it never comes to pass. When that future is dissolved, what will become of Caitlin? Will she fade away along with everything else? That's a horrible fate!
The green eclipse goes along with NBC's theme this week for their programming. Their theme is "Green Week", and they're using green logos on all their shows. The focus is on recycling, and saving the Earth.

I dunno' why but I just have this feeling that she will return at some point. Peter's storyline with her just doesn't seem finished yet. Also, we've yet to find out why the symbol on the Haitian's necklace suddenly formed as a tattoo on her forearm when she and Peter first kissed.

This was a frame story, with the frame being Peter reaching into his memories for what happened since the end of season one.
It was nice finally learning Peter's story (and "scarface" Nathan), and how Peter and Adam met. It was also nice seeing how Peter and Elle met. Elle is an interesting character, I thought. She was quite sadistic, but I found that cool. There was a lot of sexual tension between her and Peter. That part where they kissed, and she still managed to zap Peter, that was funny.
Okay, so we learned a bit more about Bob, and how he's running the company. He definitely ran that place as a prison.
Time to shout this: WHAT ABOUT SYLAR?!!?!? The trailer for this episode led me to believe that we'd learn what happened to Sylar in these four missing months. Besides that clip at the end, with him traveling with the Wonder Twins...there was nothing.
Okay, we learned more about the Wonder Twins, but I can't bring myself to give a f**k what their backstory is. I care more about West than I do the Wonder Twins. You know what, change that. I do care about the Wonder Twins, because I believe Maya might have some connection to the virus. I believe her power is a manifestation of the virus. So yeah, West is once again the character I care least about. One full episode without him, YIPPPEEEEE! ^__^
I liked finally knowing how DL died, and it was fitting that he died in a normal way. Still, I wish his character were still around. He coulda been a hero, seeing what he did at the burning house, there.
What else? Nice knowing that the Haitian was helping Peter out.
All in all, this was a good episode. About average, I'd say. It was a real let-down, though, what with all I'd been hyping the episode. I was expecting more answers.
Oh, three more episodes left this season, it seems.

SPOILER summary of Episode 11, Powerless:
IT’S HERO VS. HERO AS THE SERIES’ “VOLUME II: GENERATIONS” COMES TO AN EXPLOSIVE, BLOODY FINISH -- Deep below Primatech Paper in Odessa, TX, Peter’s (Milo Ventimiglia) reunion with Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) turns violent when the brothers, Matt (Greg Grunberg) and Hiro (Masi Oka) all clash thanks to Adam (David Anders) and his pursuit of the deadly Shanti Virus. After watching his heroic cousin captured by a street gang, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) turns to the one person who can help him save Monica (Dana Davis) -- his mom (Ali Larter). Meanwhile, Maya (Dania Ramirez) tragically learns how much of a monster Sylar (Zachary Quinto) really is during his kidnapping of Molly (Adair Tishler) and Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy). Meanwhile, Elle (Kristen Bell) decides to play hero to get back into her father’s (Stephen Tobolowsky) good graces. Jack Coleman, James Kyson Lee and Hayden Panettiere also star.
'Shit!' is all I can say.

Otherwise, sounds like an awesome season finale.
