To read or not to read? To go to DoctorWhoForum, to General Series Four Discussion, or not to go? If you've been paying attention to production for series four, no doubt you know that the title of episode 12 has been kept a secret this entire series. Russell T. Davies claims the title is "too spoilery" to be revealed too soon in the series. To that effect, the title has been withheld. Davies did give us hints: the title has three words, none of which begin with the letter "D" (this rules out "Daleks" or "Davros" in the title). Thusly, the name of episode 12 has been listed as "TBA", and many people joked that that would indeed be the title of the episode, "To Be Announced". The title for episode 12 has remained a secret until now. The television schedule listings for Saturday, June 28th, have come out, and the listings include the official title for episode 12. Now, all along this series, I've sworn that I would not go out in search of spoilers, that I want events in the finale to be a surprise. And that includes the name of episode 12. I want to remain in the dark as to the title of the episode, so that means I won't look at the confirmed title, which is up on the DWO News Page, under spoiler tags. When I checked the DWO News Page this morning, I was faced with a decision: to read or not to read? Let it remain a spoiler until the 28th, or find out now? I've decided NOT to check. I like surprises, and I've waited this long, so why not wait until the 28th? Sounds fun to me, finding out just as the title credits roll for episode 12. By the way, the two most common guesses, leading up to today, for the title of episode 12 are either "The Stolen Earth" or "War on Skaro". Both of those are appropriately spoilery for Davies to have kept them secret. Are either of those the correct title? If you check the title, don't tell me either way, please.

Those two guesses, especially the first, seem pretty unfounded, really. Well, not unfounded, but y'know, why would those be any more likely than other suggestions? Anyway, I don't think I'll read the title, either. I like surprises too ^_^.

Okay, I read the title, but only by complete accident. I was looking for a review of Forest of the Dead by a DWF member, and didn't realize that the first post would declare the title in 20-point bold font. >_<
So now I know the title and yes, it is sufficiently spoilery.
And now an update on that Davros pic. The BBC has requested that I remove the photo from everywhere that I've posted it, which I have done.
In other news, TheDoctor'sTrainers, a well respected member of DoctorWhoForum, has sent me three publicity shots from the series four finale. One is of Davros, one is of Dalek Caan, and the third is of the Dalek Supreme. Only thing is, he sent those to me on the condition that I not post them anywhere. And I won't. When the ban on the pictures is lifted, I'll gladly share them.
The pic of Dalek Caan is spoilery, though, so I won't describe it. The Davros pic is a really cool image. And the Dalek Supreme's look came as a complete surprise.

The Sun printed two of the three publicity pics that I've been given. I'd been told to not post them, but now it seems safe to. Here is a publicity shot of Davros. This is just the wheelchair and the costume, no actor. Here is a publicity shot of...well, another character we'll see in the finale. If you don't want spoilers, don't click the pic. There is still one more publicity shot that has yet to be revealed. I'll just say it's of Dalek Caan.

The BBC specifically requested you? How did they even know you had posted it here, and how did they contact you? @_@ Well, I'm certainly excited about this Saturday's episode, I have to say, though I just know it's going to end on such a cliff-hanger >___<.

It's a mystery how they found out, isn't it? ¬_¬ Yeah, I've got my guesses what the cliffhanger might be. Could this episode end with the reveal of Dave? Or will that wait until next episode? If Dave isn't in this episode, will he be featured in the Next Time trailer? I know Dave's friends, the Leks, won't be in this episode. Yep, Mr. Dave Ross and Danny Andrew Lek.

Why can't I be as inventive as you? What do you mean? Here's an exclusive for everyone here, the publicity shot of Dalek Caan I hinted at earlier. Check it and you'll see why I said it was spoilery. And one in higher resolution. Be warned, though, as these are very spoilery.

MAJOR ZOMGIFICATION. Rose love! I realised Donna wouldn't be able to make herself turn left; she would have to cause events to change in another way so that she would be forced to turn left, but whilst 'dying' in the process. Preview for next episode looks awesome. It was sad how the whole 'labour camp' stuff was being repeated for all non-English.
Also I was impressed with all the horizontal inter-textual references they managed to fit in. Gwen, Ianto and Captain Jack stopped the Sontarans; Martha died in New Hope hospital, where Sarah Jane Smith and her two kiddy companions, Maria and Clide (from the hilarious Sarah Jane Adventures) were also found; and of course everyone is returning next week! I can just tell that these next two episodes are going to be EPIC.

I just laughed when Luke got a mention.
I found it really sad that Donna really didn't understand what was happening with the camps.
Also, watching the preview, try and tell me you couldn't guess who that was.

I didn't hear Luke get mentioned, but assumed that he was with Sarah Jane. I just wasn't listening quite closely enough, I guess. Yeah, that was sad with Donna not figuring it out, but her Gramps behind her totally getting what was going on. That Italian guy was really nice. He totally cracked me up until that point.

Is Bernard Cribbins wonderful or is he really wonderful? He just steals every scene he's in, for me. I absolutely love the character of Wilf. But his reaction to the labor camps ("Is that what they're calling them?" or something like that) really drove the point home. This was another fantastic episode. I loved the "what if?" scenario that was played out, and how all the different characters were mentioned. Doing a run-through, Martha died in the hospital on the moon, as did Sarah Jane and her SJA gang, Ianto and Gwen died on the Sontaran ship, Capt. Jack was taken captive on Sontar Prime. Did I miss anyone? Well, the obvious of the Doctor drowning while destroying the Racnoss. Billie Piper was great in this episode. It's interesting how Rose has become even more like the Doctor, even to the point of not telling anyone her name. That last minute or so, after Donna said "Bad Wolf", were right up there with Utopia's big reveal of Professor Yana as the Master. Fast-paced and brilliant. I especially loved seeing "Bad Wolf" written on the signs on the TARDIS. All of this was, of course, building up to next week's episode, The Stolen Earth. And, on that point, the Next Time trailer was perhaps the best such trailer from the entire run of NuWho. From the trailer, it seems a lot of the stolen planets will be placed around Earth, judging from this screen: The laugh at the end of the trailer, just before Rose says, "It's only just beginning", my guess is that that was Davros.

LUKE GOT NABBED BY SOME NUNS! Gosh, I so wish that happened in this episode. Instead of Daleks coming down to his part of England, it should have been nuns . This morning, lying half-asleep still in bed, I thought it would be totally hilarious if Professor River Song turned out to be the Doctor. I have my theories regarding what will happen to the Doctor; just remember that, in the past, when Nine became Ten, and when the Master became John Simm, we saw the new incarnation right before the episodes ended. In this case, we have absolutely no sneak peek. I think that's important. I love how finally, all the storylines of this season were brought together; the disappearance of the bees, all the missing planets/Lost Moon of Poosh, the Shadow Proclamation, and the Medusa Cascade. Harriet Jones, for some reason, I was not expecting, but that was a pleasant surprise, as she cracks me up. Rose and the Doctor ... oh dear, how much I love I have there. When they were running towards each other, I said to Kat "oh God, something really bad is going to happen, you can just tell" and she observed that "yeah, otherwise they wouldn't have been placed so far apart". Then, of course, a freaking rogue Dalek appeared out of nowhere. @_@ Lmfao at the Doctor speaking the Judoon language, though. And at Donna well fancying Jack when she saw him on the screen. Oh, and at Rose's one-sided cat fight with Martha xD. Also, how fantastic is Wilf? "No, Sylvia, you just get back inside. They always want the women!"

Bernard Cribbins is fantastic in Doctor Who. Wilf is one of my favorite characters this series.
So there are two theories going around. First one is that the Doctor's "hand-in-a-jar" will stop the regeneration and restore Ten. I agree with you that the fact that the regeneration didn't end is important.
Second theory is that Donna is actually the Master. We've seen her wearing a ring on different episodes, especially this one. And there was the scene with her sitting on the steps at the Shadow Proclamation, and we heard two heartbeats. That is definitely significant. Two heartbeats? What could that mean? And Donna keeps referring to herself as a Temp, which is Latin for "time". And her last name, Noble. Some are pulling those together to be Time Lord.
Yeah, when Rose and the Doctor were running towards each other, I knew that wouldn't end well. Through those cuts of them running as fast as they could, I was saying, "So, I'm guessing there's a Dalek hiding somewhere nearby." Sure enough...
But I'm not giving up on Ten just yet. He's not going to fully regenerate.
Oh, on second viewing, I caught the name of who invented the subwave network that Harriet Jones was using. It was invented by Mr. Cooper. When I first saw the episode, the name sounded familiar but I couldn't place it. Now I have. Mr. Cooper was the character from Voyage of the Damned played by Clive Swift.
I see Davies managed to work in a bit from Last of the Time Lords. Only instead of everyone thinking the name "Doctor", everyone's cell phones are calling a single number.
