Well, A level results were released today and GCSE results are released on the 24th, so we can discuss them all in this thread. Anyone just done A levels? How's everyone hoping they did in their GCSEs?
I went into school to get my History AS level result today. I got 63 and 58 marks in my last paper, which was the Fascist Italy paper. I think that's a B and C grade, though I'm not entirely sure what the grade boundaries are.
How'd everyone else do?

I guess I am not sure what this exam is.

I was thinking about my GCSE results earlier. Am a bit worried about English because on one of the papers I chose the option of writing about myself and sort of ended up going off on a tangent and writing about the Libertines and Pete Doherty..... I did say at the end though something about how it was typical of me to do such a thing once I realised most of it was completely irrrelevant. And I'm going to get a U in Graphics which'll be fun. I had to get 56 marks out of 80 to get a C..... And well done Shnoph! *applauds*

Joey - GCSEs and A levels are the main exams taken in Great Britain (or is it just England? ... who knows?) at the ages of 15/16, 17 and 18 respectively.
Ran-Ran - I'm slightly concerned about the English langauge paper too because I came up with a crappy excuse for not using similies or metaphors. Mind you, 'Describe yourself' is a pretty general question. Well, I hope you've done well in yours. ^^

I think its England and Wales. I know in Scotland they have Highers instead of A Levels.... Mm yeah, and I suppose obsessing over the Libs is kind of describing myself... heh. I've probably done really crap on the Lit as well because I er didn't read the book once..... ahem. And I got really bored of writing about the poems. I wrote down earlier what I think I've got for everything and I put B/C for English. I'm also kind of worried about Maths. I think I did pretty well but I really want a B because Rupert said to me and Charlotte that he wanted us to get Bs otherwise he'll probably get the sack so its more for his sake I want a B than mine....

Congrats on getting what you think is a B and C, Shnophie! I should be taking mine in a few months. I'm Year 11 when I go back to school. Oh the joy.

Rupert said that?! I don't think he'll get sacked, so don't worry too much if you don't get a B. I'm really hoping I got one, though. I think, just maybe, that I did, considering I feel i did better than in the re-mock and I just scraped a B in that. Ohh, i never read Lord of the Flies, either, so I'm surprised I found the essay question as easy as I did.

Yeah, he said it once when we were leaving the classroom after stopping behind to ask him about a question. I dunno.... I hope he doesnt. He was the best teacher EVER. I think he felt he might because hardly anyone listened to him or got on with their work *sigh* I realised after the exam I'd written a whole load of rubbish about Jack. I had no idea what to write I am a fool

Hmm, well when we did those guides to exam questions in English, the question I had to plan for was about Jack, so i could kind of remember bits of it, which helped, I think.

Yeah, Frances and I were treated to lunch by my mum and we decided to text you while we waited for the food (which was REALLY nice but took waaay too long). Well done! I'm sure you're really pleased with those results. What time did you go into school, 'cos neither of us saw you there? I got: English Literature: A* English Language: A* French: A Science: B, B Electronics: B Maths: B Art and Design: C ICT: E ICT I couldn't give a shit about, seeing as the school screwed us around so much, so I'm really pleased with those results. I really wanna find Rupert now and tell him I got a B . By the way, Rosie got one of the top five highest grades in the country for English Literature. Not that I'm surprised.

Mmm, BBQ! Wait, how much vegetarian food is there at a BBQ? I don't think i've ever been to one where there was anything but meat ... If I find him, I will tell him, yes.
