@_@ You mean Martha. But yes, I enjoyed having her back as well. Rose's cameo cracked me up. That was just too sneaky. She was clearly speaking, which suggests she was trying to get a message sent, perhaps ...?
There were a couple of moments in the second episode were I laughed at the daftness, but I don't remember what bits those were. Clever boy annoyed me right until the end when he finally did something - well - clever. Also, am I the only one slightly saddened by Ross' death? He was kinda' hot ...

Yeah, it seems that something might be going on in "Pete's World". As we can infer, Rose is most likely working with Torchwood in that reality, so maybe it's Torchwood tech she's using to try to reach the Doctor. I liked the switch at the end, where Luke set off the device that the Doctor just couldn't bring himself to. I would have liked if Commander Staal pointed out how much of a coward the Doctor was being, compared to the legends of the Doctor who led the battles in the Time War. Yes, I hated Ross's death. So much time in part one was spent with that character that it was a shame he was shot down like that.

I just remembered one of the bits that bemused me; suddenly, in the factory room with all the steel shutters, the soldiers were able to shoot their guns without the bullets expanding and so on. They started knocking down Sontarans; did I miss something? Did the Doctor or one of the others manage to disable the device that was preventing the soldiers from firing their guns, because I so do not remember seeing anything like that happen. I'm slightly scared about the preview for the next episode, mainly because the last time I saw David Tennant playing someone with a child (Casanova), incest ensued. Fortunately not involving him. Kat knows what I'm talking about.

One note about the casting for episode 6. Georgia Moffet is Peter Davison's daughter, and in this episode, she's cast as the Doctor's daughter. Genius casting on Davies' part, as Georgia Moffet is literally the Doctor's daughter, in a way.
Looks to be an interesting daughter. Can't wait to find out what's really going on (I have a feeling it's a trap of some kind).
Also of note: Back when the new series was just beginning, and casting was being decided, Georgia Moffet auditioned for the role of Rose Tyler.

Was she doing gymnastics in the trailer, or am I just imagining that? I can't be bothered to watch it again. Also, my mind is now replacing the image of her with that of the woman who played Mal's 'wife' in Firefly, which is so not the same person, but if - as you suggest - this is a trap, then it'll probably turn out to have quite a similar storyline.

Meh. 4.06 was a disappointing episode for me. It didn't live up to my expectations. And the ending just screamed "spin-off series", which I don't want.

It really did scream 'spin-off', didn't it? Hopefully the most they'll do with that ending is perhaps bring her back in a later episode, if that. Still, the episode was better than I was expecting it to be. The trailer made it look too cheesy, but it wasn't that bad. Nice to see more of independent Martha, and Donna had some great lines.

This is old news by now, but Steven Moffat will take over as Executive Producer of the show starting with Series Five in 2010. Russell T. Davies will remain in that position through this year's Christmas Special, and next year's specials, then he'll step down. How does everyone feel about this? It will be sad to see Davies go, as he's the one we all have to thank for bringing the show back to television. Were it not for him, we'd not be having these discussions. Heck, I doubt a lot of you would even be aware of Doctor Who inasmuch as it is talked about nowadays. It'd be a thing of past pop culture, not really relevant nowadays. But Davies brought the show back, and I'm so thankful for that. If Moffat's past episodes are any indication, I think the show will be getting even better than it is now. I'm thinking there might be a darker tone to the stories, too. I'm really excited for the Moffat era to begin. In other Who news, the show didn't air this past Saturday, due to Eurovision, but we did get a spiffy new mid-series trailer. First and foremost from the trailer is the fact that Rose is returning, but the main focus should be at the end of the trailer. Who is that figure in the shadows? Sure, it's a base of a Dalek, but if we're only able to see that lower half, it can only mean one thing: Davros is returning for the finale. Yep, the big-daddy of the Daleks, the evil Kaled scientist who created the Daleks. He's returning, and I so cannot wait to see what he's up to this time. But then again, I was playing around with the image in Gimp, changing different levels and brightness, and whatsits and whosits, and found something rather interesting. Maybe it's not Davros, but another villain from another realm entirely! Who knows?

LMAO! Oh, that picture made me crack up!
I've heard that news. True I'm grateful for Davies bringing back Doctor Who but he's written all the episodes that I really hated. Hearing that Moffat was taking over made me really happy.

I'm a little worried this week. I may end up missing some of the episode because the final of Britain's Got Talent will be on. Although none of my favourite acts got through (except George Sampson), I feel compelled to watch it.

Yeah, Britain's Got Talent is the only non- Eastenders and Coronation Street show that's been consistently beating DW in the ratings.

I've never understood soaps. Why the hell would so many people be interested in watching dross set in scummy neighbourhoods, where everyone is either a felon or a bit dim and talks "like, well common, innit"? Anyway, good luck to George Sampson on Britain's Got Talent! He's very sweet and totally deserves to win, from what I've seen. In regards to Doctor Who, Kat you can watch it within a couple of hours of it airing, on BBC iPlayer, so you'll only have missed out on it for as long as I will have.

To answer Sophie's question about Poison Sky, and how UNIT soldiers were able to fire at the Sontarans:
Watched the episode again last night, and figured it out. The Valiant came in, and cleared the immediate area of the chemicals in the air. The Valiant then opened fire on the ATMOS factory building. This took out the generator for the acortaline (spelling) signal, allowing UNIT troops to shoot at the Sontarans.

Ahhh, thanks Mike! I remember The Valiant swooping in and clearing the sky, I just don't recall it shooting at the fac-- no, wait, I seem to have a vague recollection of it now. And last night's episode; awesome stuff, no, people? Can't wait to see how it pans out in the second part. Kat and I have been theorising over the real identity of this 'Professor River Song', and we have reason to believe that she is an as-yet-to-be-introduced companion of the Doctor's. Could always be wrong, though, of course.
